  • Transfer Policy

Transfer Policy of the Officers/Officials of Ministry of Steel, whose cadre controlling authority is DoPT, is formulated and maintained by DoPT. However, as per the administrative exigency, Establishment Division of this Ministry transfers the officers/officials only from one Division/Section to another Division/Section of Ministry of Steel as per DoPT/CVC’s guidelines.

The Ministry of Steel follows Department of Personnel & Training’s Manual of Office Procedure, rules/regulations/instructions issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Public Enterprises, etc. In addition to the above, Small Scale Industries (SSI) Guidelines and Guidelines for Research proposals framed by Technical Wing are used for the discharge of functions of the Ministry.
